Join The Garw Valley Heritage Society and Tabernacle Chapel, Pontycymer for a Cadw Open Doors event. Everyone’s welcome, free of charge.

Come and explore this Grade II-listed chapel, with its beautiful pipe organ, one of the very few still working in the churches and chapels of South Wales.
On the day there’ll be:
- Light refreshments
- Artefacts, a slide show, and a display and exhibition on the Garw’s mining and social history over the last 150 years
- Guest organist Graham Holcombe, giving a talk and playing from 11.30am onwards
- Musical recitals from local young musician Megan.
It’s a rare chance to see inside this special building and hear its organ played properly, please do come along and support it.
