  1. Re: Photograph 000272. Must have been taken about 1954-1955. I recognise some of the people in this photograph as I am in it myself.
    Some I can put names to.
    Teacher is Elvyn George. Great teacher. Lovely man.
    Top row 3rd from left Byron Davies, sadly deceased.
    Next row standing. 2nd from left Carol Davies, we were inseperable as children and people thought we were sisters.
    Next row sitting. 1st Gloria Alexander, 2nd Gaynor Dix, 4th myself Diane Hayes. 6th Julie Ridsdale.
    A lot of the faces are familiar but unfortunately I cannot remember the names off hand.

  4. My father William Daniel was born in 1902 in Pontycymer . Mum was Elizabeth Dad Isaac. He had 2 brothers Lewis & David.. They all belomged to the Salvation Army. All 3 bothers played in the Salvation Army band. All 3 brothers became Salvation Army officers. Lewis was sent to Russia. David was sent to India. My Dad was sent to England. Scotland Ireland & Wales. He was Brigadier.
    I am looking for any information on the Army back in 1918 to 1920. In particular any photos of the Army hall & the band if you have any.
    I would appreciate any help. I live in the USA. Thank you Eileen Muir
