The Garw Valley Heritage Society will be holding their fifth exhibition of 2014 in the Richard Price Centre in Llangeinor, to commemorate the start of the First World War.
The exhibition will show how the people of the Garw were affected by the war and will have stories, photographs, letters and pictures of local men who served, as well as items and posters and artefacts from the War. Of particular interest will be the Garw Roll of Honour, meticulously researched, where the names of the men who did not come back, currently over 200, are listed. Come along and see if a member of your family is there, or come and share your family memories! A booklet which includes the Roll will be available to visitors.
Opening times will be 10.30 -4.30, Wednesday to Friday inclusive, September 24th to 26th.’
would just like to say well done on a brilliant exhibition
