As part of CADW’s Open Doors Festival the Garw Valley Heritage Society is organising the following event:
Saturday 14th September – Free guided walks in and around Blaengarw focusing on the life and times of Daniel James, who wrote the much loved Calon Lan hymn.
The walk is illustrated with photographs contemporary with the time he and his family lived in Blaengarw.
The walk will commence at 10am from Parc Calon Lan Visitors Centre, and a further one will take place at 2pm.
Toilet facilities and refreshments are available.
